This way, you can begin to narrow in on the style choices that draw you in. While you research, study the images that intrigue you. Are your drawn to the clean, minimalist style or traditional more ornate? Or maybe you wish to be in the middle. Everyone has a style that they naturally gravitate to. It is important for you to determine which one is for you and to stay true to what you love when designing a space. You will be spending a large amount of time in your home, so make it a space you love!

Contemporary

Forming a space that is truly contemporary takes a level of restraint and dedication to keep this a clean, minimal look. In custom cabinetry there are a lot of little details to consider, such as molding, hardware, door profiles and more. If you wish to have a contemporary style space it is easy to get overwhelmed with the details. Our advise select simple, clean styles to be consistent through the entire space. When selecting a material, choose an HDF product for a simple clean neutral color schemes. Or if you desire a wood, choose either a simple wood grain or a wood grain that would make a statement. For cabinet hardware, select simple lines and shapes to maintain a clean appearance. The accessories in your space should be the same. Traditional cabinetry is the popular opposite to contemporary style. With traditional styling, your space is more ornate and embellished in details. Usually the more the better. Traditional cabinets are commonly created with beautiful wood selections like Maple or Cherry. However you can achieve a traditional look with painted cabinets if you select more ornate door profiles and finishes. Ornate moldings, and decorative mill-work will play up the style choice! Select cabinet hardware that has detailing and shapely profiles.

Transitional

If you can't decide what cabinet style you are drawn to, it might mean you are somewhere in the middle. This style gained popularity because it is a bridge between both styles and is easily adaptable to various style choices and owners. You are able to have clean, streamlined spaces with more details. Transitional cabinets come in a variety of finishes. Transitional cabinets can take a page from contemporary styling and select neutral paint colors like grays and whites, so they can easily be a stained wood in more neutral or lighter in tones. This way you will create a clean, updated appearance. Add hardware that is simple and not to ornate. A slight amount of detail to add a minimal pop of information.
